Road closure near base may cause delays, increased traffic
HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. --
Residents, base employees, and users of 127th Avenue (Coral Sea Boulevard) near the main entrance to the base, should plan alternate routes beginning Jan. 23 at midnight.
The stretch of road starting at the crossroads of 288th Street (Biscayne Drive) and 127th Avenue (Coral Sea Boulevard) will be closed as construction on the base’s new entry control center and traffic circle is being conducted. Signs are currently posted directing the flow of traffic around the construction area, which is scheduled to be finished in autumn 2019.
