5/23/2012 - HOMESTEAD AIR RESERVE BASE, Fla. -- A group of first and second-grade students from the Atala Montessori School for Creative Expression toured Homestead ARB, May 18.
During the tour, the students received an interactive briefing from an F-16 fighter pilot, viewed an F-16 fighter jet up close, visited the base fire department, and watched a group of F-16 fighter jets take off.
Among the many stops on a tour of Homestead ARB, participants may also visit security forces, explosive ordnance disposal, the air traffic control tower, the jet engine shop, and various tenant units of the base. Tours are typically booked two months in advance.
