Mako Defender competes in international shooting competition

A member assigned to the 482nd Security Forces Squadron here was part of a four-man Air Force Reserve Command team that competed in the Danish Army’s annual international shooting competition at Halk Range, Haderslev, Denmark, June 9 to 12.

Homestead Air Reserve Base Defender Tech. Sgt. Nikolas Infante took part in the competition against 25 other teams and 100 individual competitors from seven countries.

The Citizen Airmen represented AFRC well by winning several individual and team awards. The team took 1st Place in the “Viking Stage” of the competition and 3rd Place in the overall team competition. 

Infante's team members also performed well in several competitions. 

Tech. Sgt. Seth Guyer, 439th SFS, Westover Air Reserve Base, Massachusetts, earned the Danish Marksmanship Badge and placed 5th overall in the “Best Individual Shooter” category.

Tech. Sgt. Caleb Giddings, 934th SFS, Minneapolis-St. Paul Air Reserve Station, Minnesota, took 2nd place in the “Best Individual Shooter” category. 

The forth member of the team was Master Sgt. James Miller, 926th SFS, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
